For the past 15 years, motorcyclists from all over Idaho converge on the Motorcycle Escort to Camp Rainbow Gold. This event provides a huge source of excitement for everyone involved, especially for the campers headed up to Camp. Whether you join the ride from Boise all the way up to Cathedral Pines in the Wood River Valley or you line the streets throughout Bellevue, Hailey, Ketchum to show your support, there is plenty of fun and entertainment.
This year, we are honoring John “Hoagie” Hogue of the Snake River Bros from Twin Falls. He was an amazing man who had a heart of gold when it came to the children of Camp Rainbow Gold. He sadly had lost his battle of cancer within the last year and as an organization, we couldn’t think of anything better than to honor him in this year’s escort.
Also, the Boise Valley Riders Motorcycle Club from Boise will be providing hoodies for the youth campers with their “biker names” on the back. This club is also welcoming the campers as Honorary Members of the Boise Valley Riders. The title means when the campers ride, the Boise Valley Riders ride as well. And this year the bus will be escorted back from Cathedral Pines to Boise when camp is over.
