Happy Camper Corner!
Each month, we'll share some news from prominent camping associations or tips and tricks for our counselors. This month enjoy two articles shared on the ACA website.
How to Make the World a Better Place: Taking Advantage of the Opportunities at Summer Camp
Stephen Wallace discusses why it is important to challenge campers to take advantage of their opportunities so they invariably make new friends, try new activities, and become valued members of a camp community.
MESH Mechanics That Spur Personal Development in Campers and Staff
John Hamilton and Tracey Gaslin speak about how we can support mental, emotional, and social health for the entire camp community by taking it one step at a time. This article looks at how things have changed, recent stressors, and how camp can help.
It's been an incredible summer season! Lots of new friends and people this year! Hummingbirds are everywhere and a couple of baby deer frequent the property. Our friendly neighborhood moose hasn't been spotted since earlier this year. I'm looking forward to more sneaky bacon moments and people to sniff in September!
