Youth Oncology Camp

For kids ages 6 to 12 who have received a cancer diagnosis
Youth camp is a week for Idaho children who have been diagnosed with cancer to get away and simply be kids. They laugh, run, play, and experience a week of connection and joy. This is often the one time all year that they are with other children who really understand what they have been through.
The week starts when most campers arrive at camp by bus and they are immediately greeted by counselors, staff, and nurses. Next, they meet their cabin counselors and kids are grouped with other kids their age—this
is the group they’ll be with all week. After they head to their cabins to get settled, the fun begins and
friendships are made!
Camp-tivities
Every day is bursting with adventure, laughter, and hands-on fun. Campers can ride horses, aim for the archery bullseye, pedal mountain bikes on trails, fish in the pond, or get creative with art projects. They can look for frogs, raid cabins with friends, dress up in costumes from our full-day costume closet, and make s’mores by the fire.
As if that wasn’t enough, each week has its own set of unique activities like face painting, cake decorating, scavenger hunts, and dances.
And while your child is off laughing, making best friends, and trying something new, you can rest easy knowing they are in the care of trained staff, volunteers, and a dedicated medical team, with safety as the first priority.

About Hidden Paradise
When you arrive at Camp Rainbow Gold, you’re escaping to Hidden Paradise, our 172-acre home tucked away in Fairfield, Idaho’s hills.
Here, the air feels fresher, the stars shine brighter, and a walk across camp might introduce you to a curious frog, a family of deer, or our resident moose, “Tater Tot,” cooling off in the pond.
While your days are filled with adventure, your comfort also is taken care of. Meals are made from scratch, with fresh ingredients and, yes, we will happily accommodate your special diet. You’ll relax in ADA-accessible cabins, stretch out in the hammock village, and play on our fully accessible playground. You’ll even have access to a health center, as well as staff to ensure your safety and comfort.
