Dear Camp Rainbow Gold,

Camp Rainbow Gold is like a second home to me. It is a place I know I can be myself and not have a stress in the world. It is somewhere where no one will judge you for what you feel or what you have been through. You get to enjoy it with friends. It is a friendly, safe environment where you can let loose and live your life.

There are amazing people who make Camp Rainbow Gold possible. The scenery and activities are nice as well, but all that are involved are kind and friendly. These are the people who will have your back and will be there for you when times get rough. They are the kind of people who will love and support you. They are extraordinary and selfless. It doesn’t matter where Camp Rainbow Gold is, everyone from the counselors, volunteers, and campers will make you feel like family.

This past year, 2021, was my first year at teen camp. I was kind of nervous to go, not knowing what to expect and what kind of people would be there. Yet it was just like youth camp, and even more. The counselors and nurses met all of us with open arms and courtesy. I felt welcomed and comforted, knowing that this was home.

The feeling that you have at camp is out of this world and you are happy that you are able to share it with friends who are right at your side, experiencing it with you. Every year is like this, and being around people you love makes it even better. So thank you, Camp Rainbow Gold counselors and campers, for making it the highlight of my summer, each and every year.
