Meet Our Volunteers: Brant

Apr 18, 2022 | Camp Rainbow Gold, Volunteers

— By Brant Schlaich, CRG Volunteer

For all those who have been to Camp, we know how impossible it is to describe the essence of it to others. Camp Rainbow Gold has brought some of the purest souls together to celebrate the joys of being alive.  I have witnessed and been a part of some of the strongest bonds one can have. I am truly thankful to have met some of the greatest people I’ve come across in my life, and look forward to meeting many more.

This will be my 14th year volunteering, and I will drop everything going on in life to never miss it! I feel so blessed to be a part of such an outstanding program and can’t wait for Camp 2022!

It’s well known at Camp that some of the best memories are made at the campfire each night. One of the coolest memories of Camp I have is when we were all singing a song together that involved clapping. One of our teen campers that year had an amputated arm. Sitting next to him at the fire was a young boy around 8 or 9. During the song, the young boy turned to the teen and said “Here, you can use my other hand to clap with.”

What amazing souls we have at Camp Rainbow Gold!
