Dr. David McClusky, III was born and raised in Idaho, and moved to the Wood River Valley in 2013. His father founded Camp Rainbow Gold and he has been involved with camp activities since its inception.
Dr. McClusky now works as a general surgeon at St. Luke’s Wood River. He attended Whitman College in Walla Walla, and medical school at Northwestern in Chicago. His residency training in general surgery was at Emory University in Atlanta and he completed a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at the Mayo Clinic Florida. He serves as the Medical Director of Quality and Safety at St. Luke’s Wood River and is also a member of the Idaho Board of Medicine.
David lives in Hailey with his wife Lorena and his step-son Tyler. They enjoy Nordic skiing, mountain biking and relaxing at their family cabin north of Ketchum.
