Camp Rainbow Gold had to make a hard decision this month as limits on gatherings were extended into the summer. Instead of continuing to plan on-site summer camps and risk canceling at the last minute outside of our control, we decided to start building an exciting new program to connect campers no matter what and find a way to deliver hope, love and fun straight to their doorsteps.
Why? Well, Camp is too important to risk missing out completely.
The leadership teams of all four CRG summer camps have joined forces to plan a way to bring camp to you with a remote offering on July 12-24. Our directors guarantee many of your favorite camp traditions will remain. We will SHINE every day, we will make new friends, we will sing crazy songs, have a Wishcone ceremony and connect with campers across the state in fun new ways.
Camp is going to look different this year—some of it will be conducted in front of computers and some of it will be in our own backyards with our families, but new traditions will emerge, old magic will creep in, and ultimately when we are all back together in person next year it will feel so much the sweeter.
And when we say all back together, we mean we want ALL of you back next year. Any camper who was set to graduate this year from Sibling Camp, Teen Camp, or the YA Team program is invited to attend camp next year in order to have a big Camp send-off.
In the meantime, we hope to see you this summer. New applications have launched for campers and volunteers to gauge everyone’s access to some of the resources and tech solutions our leadership teams have identified. We’ll also do everything we can to accommodate all our families and the resources you have available. If you already started or completed your camp registration in CampDoc, you’ll still need to fill out a new application using this link. There is additional information needed to make sure we can accommodate all our campers. But good news! The application only takes about 5 minutes.
