This year will be my 5th year as a counselor at Camp Rainbow Gold. I’ve volunteered at Youth Camp and Teen Camp and someday hope to make it to Sibling Camp. There is something magical about the energy at camp, I’ve never experienced anything else like it.

In my first year, I was so nervous about not fitting in at camp that I almost didn’t come. I think back to that and can’t imagine NOT being involved with Camp now. Leadership made sure I was comfortable and I had the most amazing co-counselor — who ended up officiating mine and my husband’s wedding!

The activities are always fun and leadership makes sure we have everything we need, but the best part about Camp is the campers. Each year I am inspired by my campers and leave with a full cup!

I want to SHINE for everyone who works all year long to make Camp Rainbow Gold run smoothly. They make sure everything is ready for not only the summer camps but for Family Camps and all the activities that happen throughout the year. Their hard work does not go unnoticed!

I’m honored to call myself a part of the CRG family and will forever be grateful for the way camp has changed my life.
